The 8th All Kerala Students’ Open Chess Tournament was held at St. Antony’s Public School Anakkal on 29th October 2022. 12 students from Don Bosco Central School participated in the tournament.
The event started at 10 am. There were 5 rounds for the Junior Girls’ Category, 6 rounds for the Junior Boys’ Category and 4 rounds for the Senior Girls’ Category. It was exciting to watch our young chess masters play their moves with rapt concentration and collected demeanour.
Milona Susan Monse secured the 1st position in the Senior Girls’ Category, followed by Delna Elizabeth Saju in the Second position. Amala George secured the 7th position in the same category. Devananda A Nair secured the second position in the Junior Girls Category, and Navaneeth A Nair secured the third position in the Junior Boys’ Category.
