House System
The House System forms an integral part of day to day School life in Don Bosco Central School. It includes regular inter-House competitions and activities.
The house system successfully trains students to develop team spirit, loyalty, co-ordination and discipline. It enhances leadership qualities and fosters a sense of togetherness, well being and belonging. The assorted but colorful events of the year are all organized under the patronage of 4 houses.
The students are divided into four houses named Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow. Teacher animators are selected for each house. Captains and wise captains of each house are elected.
House points are the way in which Salesian School recognises achievement in all aspect of school life. Students are awarded house points:
for academic performance and effort
for extra-curricular activities
for good deeds, being helpful etc
The students are involved in interesting and fun filled activities during the year. Inter house competitions are conducted in various disciplines and “House of the year” trophy is presented to the best house at the annual function of the school
House System has successfully helped us to promote competition and healthy rivalry among the students in all the activities of the school, curricular and extra-curricular, and also to foster qualities such as loyalty and leadership.
